Red Fest IX was a powerful blend of music and awareness! By integrating health awareness into an engaging event like the Battle of Bands, the Recovering Users Network (RUN) and the Sikkim State AIDS Control Society (SSACS) created an impactful platform for youth engagement.
The voluntary HIV testing initiative, especially for the 16-30 age group, demonstrates the increasing awareness among young people about knowing their status. The participation of students from various schools and colleges further underscores the importance of such outreach programs. Kudos to Mobile ICTC Technician Ms. Sonam Diki Bhutia and Counselor Ms. Anna Pandi for facilitating the testing and ensuring that attendees had access to crucial health services.
